Our expert witness institute is accredited in accordance with the DIN EN ISO 17025 and DIN EN ISO 9001 standards in forensic medicine, in particular, for DNA profiling from blood samples or buccal swabs.
External quality assurance is guaranteed through our regular participation in the round-robin experiments of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Rechtsmedizin (German Society of Legal Medicine) through GEDNAP (German DNA Profiling Group).
We type comparative samples for the German genetic database for numerous State Offices of Criminal Investigation.
Large numbers of samples within the scope of mass DNA screenings when investigating criminal acts can be processed quickly and reliably.
Tests on trace DNA samples can also be carried out for a number of animal species (dogs, horses, monkeys, cattle, etc.). In connection with dog bites or traffic accidents with animals, trace material, for example, blood or saliva stains on clothing or vehicles, can be used to isolate the genetic substance and determine a DNA profile of the animal who left the trace behind.
Our experts are publicly appointed and sworn by the regional government in Karlsruhe as experts for verification of parentage and identity of breeding animals. Thus, our reports can be used in court.
